Pat Shelby

Pat Shelby was born and raised in Painesville, Ohio. His love of music began at around the age of 3 when he began to play around on his Grandparents’ old Hammond organ. He began taking piano lessons at age 7 with his church organist. In 2006, as a freshman in high school, he continued his classical piano training at the Willoughby Fine Arts Center with Dr. Tim Minnis. Throughout high school Pat became involved with the contemporary band at Zion Lutheran Church where he now plays keyboards for the group regularly. He also played in a band for 2 years with students from Lake Erie College, where he is also a student. Pat is currently pursuing a major in Environmental Science and a minor in music. He works a varying amount of hours both at Lake Metroparks with the natural resources department and Painesville Country Club in grounds maintenance. Pat hopes that playing with a talented group of musicians like Abbey Rodeo will expand his musical ability and knowledge.
